Entire Signal Chat Group Stricken With Sudden Dementia
Last week, it came to light that “war plans” were shared between high-level Executive Branch members in a Signal app chat while Jeffrey Goldberg, editor-in-chief of The Atlantic newspaper were present. Among the members present in this unsecured chat space were, but not limited to, National Security Advisor Mike Waltz, the Secretary of Defense, Pete… Continue reading

A Labor of Love
As an author/writer, I’ve discovered I have the ability to look beyond the surface of a medium and really understand what another writer was thinking with their thought process (I should say, I have this ability to a degree – sometimes a medium is so poorly written that scholars can’t even figure out what the… Continue reading

I’m Tired, Boss…
I’ve been wanting a way to get back to my website with all that’s been going on. I’ve been incredibly busy with broken down vehicles and trying to sell our house so we can find our “forever home.” I was hoping that a second Trump term would be a good catalyst for creative writing, because… Continue reading

Blah, blah, blah #193
It’s been a rough week. The wife and I are trying to sell our house (and purchase a new one) before the incoming administration fucks our country’s economic situation into the dirt. The interest rates aren’t terrible, and I have a VA loan, so it’s a decent time to offload the current home. We’re on… Continue reading

I Did it
NaNoWriMo was just one month ago, and I dropped production on my book series to participate. After a few weeks of line editing, I came to the conclusion that my book of short stories, Bathing in Cyanide, was “complete.” The stories are all originals, and some of them you might have seen here, on my… Continue reading

Early Picks for Dear Leader’s Cabinet Leave Public Scratching Heads
With the 2024 election cycle drawing to a close, the American people have chosen the bankrupt convict to be their president for the next four years, marking an unprecedented turn-around for conservative voters. Already, Dear Leader Trump has begun showcasing his choices for some of the presidential cabinet picks and other appointed seats of office,… Continue reading

Take a Deep Breath
I can say with all honesty that there are very few things on this earth that “scare” me: Spiders, but specifically any spider bigger than a nickel. The small ones, like jumping spiders and whatnot, don’t really trigger that anxiety in me, but the larger ones do because of an incident when I was living… Continue reading

We Don’t Deserve You – Part 2
You might remember a while back I wrote a post about how we didn’t deserve animals/pets. It stemmed from the idea that the puppies across the street were always stuck outside, limited food, limited water, and limited scenery. I still haven’t seen those dogs’ parents take them on a walk, and I walk my dogs… Continue reading

What I’ve been up to
Sometimes I forget to post updates or new content, but know that it’s because I’m always busy with something. A-B-C: Always Be Creating. And that’s just what I’ve been doing the last few weeks. I recently entered NaNoWriMo (https://nanowrimo.org/dashboard) for the first time, after talking about doing it for years. Well, this year I am… Continue reading

The Arrival
If anyone has read my work, specifically I-I: Departure, you may remember a few blurbs about something the people of Earth have coined “The Arrival.” This is a supplemental work that, in better detail than James Harrington provides, gives some insight into the events of the Arrival and the Cleansing. December 19th, 2018, 4:17 pm.… Continue reading
About Me
Armed Forces Veteran. Writer. Father of several demon-child rescue animals. Milwaukee Brewers fan. Loather of the human condition.
I was born and raised in the wintry lands of Wisconsin (Milwaukee, West Bend, Oconomowoc), but spent 15 years in the service of the United States Air Force, deploying and living in many other regions of the country and world.
The first time someone told me I was a “hell of a writer” was when I was a young Senior Airman in the Air Force and got in trouble for writing a blog on MySpace about the “miserable people of the ### Squadron. I wrote it like a late night infomercial with testimonials that ranged from hilarious to disgusting. I was very nearly demoted for the work and forced to remove it from the site.
After that, I started writing satire news articles like one might find on The Onion. I typed them out and distributed them to coworkers like a weekly newsletter. Some of those articles are posted here.
Eventually, I moved from satire to Science Fiction and Fantasy, and have written four [as of yet unpublished] books in what I hope to be a long-standing series inspired heavily by Stephen King’s “The Dark Tower” saga.
I currently live in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
