For anyone who “cracked the code” of my last post, I was trying to get I-I: Departure out before the new year, but life is life is life and that was something made impossible. I won’t go into the details, just know that my computer, with all of my work and images for the book, were made inaccessible for nearly two weeks.
To that end, I’ve been working day in and out this week and have a few more things to format before uploading the finished product to the Kindle Direct website, making the book available for purchase and reading. Apologies for the few of you that care enough and follow me in hopes of seeing what I’ve been working so diligently on for the last few years.
That said, Book I-I will quickly be followed by II-I later this year. I’ll be starting the formatting process of it earlier than this year and doing the edits via the Kindle app instead of through Word. It’s just easier to do it all in one place instead of relying so heavily on Word. I’ll still use Microsoft to do the main portion of the writing as its editing tools are far superior, but I won’t be doing any formatting through it because A) it’ll save time and B) much of the stuff that gets formatted in Kindle doesn’t get carried over from Word docx’s.
Book II-I, which I haven’t given a subtitle yet, is all part of the larger series but takes place elsewhere. Keep your eyes on this space for updates as well as future blogs in the “NOVEL & SUPPLEMENTAL” section of my page to get a better understanding of things that are going on in the books. There, I will post information about the books and answer questions readers might have. I will be adding a link in a FOREWORD section of book 1 to this page, as well, to hopefully drive in traffic.
Thank you all for your patience and know that I will not be George R.R. Martin’ing this book or the series at large.
Cheers and happy new year!
