Unwelcome Dental Advice

I’ve been wanting a way to get back to my website with all that’s been going on. I’ve been incredibly busy with broken down vehicles and trying to sell our house so we can find our “forever home.” I was hoping that a second Trump term would be a good catalyst for creative writing, because in the first term, I spent a lot of time writing satirical pieces about how he got all of his insane policy ideas from Alphabits cereal. This second term, however, has been a nonstop barrage of inane Executive Orders, legal loopholes, and ridiculous shock politics that it’s been too difficult to focus on any one thing, because the instant you do, another wild idea pops up.

Though, I suppose that’s the point. They’re trying to wear the public down into thinking that this is the norm. Personally, I hate this timeline.

That said, I’m a lurker on political forums all over Reddit. Sure, Reddit is mostly a leftist echo chamber, and as a leftist myself, I don’t mind. But even they wear me out sometimes. I don’t think the world is ending. Not just yet. Maybe chill on the nazi rhetoric, too. Herein, the poster claims that they have no ill will toward different factions of democrats, including people of various races and genders/sexes. Yeah, that’s great for them. I’m sure there are literally hundreds of you who actually follow the teachings of the Bible and wish no harm upon their neighbors. Because that’s what you’re taught, right? Others in the thread follow up to say that they’ve never “un-friended” people because of their political views, or that they wish all the democrats long and healthy lives, but that they’re all “wrong.” It goes on like this throughout the entire forum, and that’s great.

But let me tell you as someone who has lived in the most conservative place on the planet, Oklahoma, you’re not all the saints you paint yourselves out to be on Reddit.

I worked at the Air Force base in Oklahoma City (Midwest City) and I might have been one of maybe 100 liberal civilians in the entire 20,000-person operation. I wish that was a joke. Many of the people who worked there as civilians were people who either grew up in Oklahoma and never left, or people who were stationed at Tinker Air Force Base at some time in their careers and decided to move back because they loved the politics and cheap living. Every time I went to work, I had to park in a parking lot with people who lived at the very edge of their means but somehow had the money to pay for a $90,000 lifted F-350 with dual Confederate flags flying in their truck bed.

I sat next to people who routinely used words like “liberal cuck,” “libtards,” or “leftist tranny lovers.” I blended in. I never told anyone my political leanings. I would sit there and endure people making fun of leftists and how the gays and lesbians all needed to move out of their state and die. I had to sit there are listen to people complain about how a “n***er” was the president for eight years, and that they were happy to have as white man married to a white woman in the White House, instead of “a pair of apes.”

I once invited – out of the kindness of my stupid fucking heart – one of my ultra-conservative coworkers over to my house for a “Friendsgiving” dinner, because I used to work with the guy when I was in the Air Force, and one of our other former Air Force chums was in town. They both came over with a case of Keystone Light, probably thinking that it was just myself, my wife, and a few married couples. But we’d invited several gay and lesbian couples over as well. When one of them asked which man was the husband to one of the lesbian women, I replied that the two women next to one another were with each other.

You could see it in both of their eyes: the dawning of realization that I was a “tolerant leftist” was entering their small minds. They immediately came up with an excuse to leave and I never heard from the guy at work again. He avoided me like I was the Herpes virus itself. I was even approached by my former work supervisor (I’d changed workshop locations sometime before that, but was in the same building, and close enough that most of them could drop by if they wanted to) and asked about the lesbian couple at my party. So, I told her about it and she seemed appalled. Not that I was friends with my supervisor before that, but we were at least professionally on the same terms. Not after that conversation though. This woman stared daggers at me like I was a leper.

With everything that’s been going on, all I can think about is how they’re eating this up at Tinker right now. All the people I used to work with are probably relishing in all of the alleged DEI firings. General Charles Brown, the now former Chairman Joint Chief of Staff, was fired and replaced by a white man with considerably less leadership experience than Brown. General Caine, his replacement, was a fighter pilot and in charge of a maintenance group. And that’s it. Brown was in charge of entire divisions several times over. Dear Leader said he was “a fine gentleman and an outstanding leader.” If that’s the case, why did he have to be replaced? He was certainly doing a good job in his former position.

The evidence doesn’t really point to that though, does it? Every alleged DEI hire (a.k.a. person of color or different sexual orientation in a position of power) has been replaced with a generic white person, haven’t they? It’s a video the fucking WHITE HOUSE posted, claiming to be ASMR (autonomous sensory meridian response – a calming set of noises), but in reality, it’s just deportation porn for racists pricks. But yeah, you hold no ill will toward minorities, or wish them no harm. **BEEEEEEP** Please try again.

I’m sure conservatives are tired of being told they’re intolerant and nazis, but of the two political groups, which one has followings of Confederates and actual White Supremacists? Tell me again you’re a nazi without telling me you’re a nazi.
